1996 Plymouth Voyager Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1996 Voyager. NHTSA lists 9 recalls for the 1996 Voyager, and several involve fuel. On certain 1996 Voyager vans with the overhead-valve V6, rubber O-ring seals in the fuel rail could degrade and let fuel escape under the hood; dealers added a seal at the crossover tube. Certain other vans could leak fuel where the pump module mounts to the tank, and on certain vans the fuel filler tube's ungrounded metal section could build a static charge and spark during refueling. Complaints total 756, led by engine and engine cooling (136), air bags (134) and the electrical system (114); 36 reported a crash, 30 a fire, 24 an injury and 1 a death. Fuel system diagnostics apply.
