This service and repair manual is built around the 1995 Lexus GS 300 as it left the assembly line, matched to this model year, to the 3.0L inline-six (2JZ-GE) under the hood and to the trim listed below, so the specifications and procedures you work to are the ones Lexus wrote for this car and not an approximation borrowed from a neighboring year.

Known issues on the 1995 GS 300. One recall is on federal record for this model year, and it covers the front lower control arm ball joints: due to inadequate lubrication of the inside of the lower ball joints, excessive wear can occur causing damage to the lower ball joints, and separation of the lower ball joints from the steering knuckle arms could occur, a condition that could lead to a loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 20 complaints for the year. The diagnostic and repair procedures behind that system are here.
From the front suspension and its lower ball joints to a scheduled service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for this 1995 GS 300.
