Known issues on the 1995 525i. The federal record shows three recalls for this year. One has the double-lock feature engaging with people and the key still inside the car, so the doors and windows cannot be opened and the engine will not start. Another concerns the plastic bushing at the throttle housing, whose failure can leave the throttle valve partly open and the car unwilling to slow. The third is the cooling system's heater core end piece, which can crack under overheating and release hot coolant. Complaints total 28: five on the electrical system, five on latches, locks and linkages and four on engine and engine cooling.
