Known issues on the 1992 C2500 Suburban. Two recalls stand on the federal record. One covers replacement oil filters that may not seal against their mounting, letting engine oil escape where it can find an ignition source. The other involves heat building inside the automatic transmission until fluid is forced out through the vent tube, where it too can catch fire.
