Known issues on the 1989 S15. Three recalls appear on the federal record. Two involve replacement lamps sold without the amber side reflectors federal rules require. The third is more serious: engine cooling fan blades that crack from fatigue and can break apart, throwing a piece at anyone standing near an open hood. Eleven owner complaints are logged, and the reported ones cluster on engine and engine cooling and the electrical system, with exterior lighting also represented.
