Known issues on the 1988 Skylark. The 1988 Skylark has 3 recalls. The fuel feed hose figures in two of them: on certain 1988 Skylark vehicles with the Quad 4 engine, the front feed hose could crack or pull apart at its coupling on the engine end, spilling fuel into the engine bay, and the hose was replaced. Another, covering 101 certain 1988 Skylark vehicles with the numeric-readout instrument cluster, involved tail and side marker lamps that could go dark without warning; the headlight switch panel was replaced. Of 14 complaints, hydraulic brakes and vehicle speed control draw 3 each; 3 complaints reported a crash and 1 a fire.
