1985 Chevrolet C10 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1985 Chevrolet C10 answers to four engines and one cab. A 4.3L V6 of 262 cubic inches sits at the bottom of the range, the 5.0L and 5.7L V8s in the middle, and a 6.2L diesel V8 of 379 cubic inches at the top, all overhead-valve and naturally aspirated. Known issues on the 1985 C10. Two recalls are recorded for this year. One is a braking defect: rear brake assemblies of the wrong size were installed, and trucks built that way could take longer to stop than the federal brake standard allows. The other covers a replacement oil filter that can seal badly and lose engine oil, with fire the consequence named. Eight owner complaints follow a similar shape, three on the electrical system, two on the fuel system and one on the service brakes.
