Known issues on the 1984 Ramcharger. Two recalls sit on the federal record for the 1984 Ramcharger. A leaking seal on the piston inside the brake master cylinder could make the front brakes cut out intermittently on certain 1984 Ramcharger vehicles, and the master cylinders were replaced. Separately, certain 1984 Ramcharger vehicles fitted with step bumpers but lacking a fuel tank skid plate fell short of the federal rear-impact fuel system standard, since the bumper could give way and fuel could leak; a skid plate was added.
