Known issues on the 1983 B250. The federal record lists 1 recall for the 1983 B250. It recalled certain 1983 B250 vans whose ignition switches may have been bent out of shape when they were crimped at assembly, cracking the plastic carrier that holds the internal contacts. Fragments from that carrier could make stray contact inside the switch, so turning the key to accessory might engage the starter. Suspect switches were replaced at no cost.
