Toyota built the 1982 Corona in four configurations: a Base car ordered with either an automatic or a standard transmission, and an LE sold as a 4D Hatchback and a 4D Sedan. Trim and transmission are what separate them once you are under the car, so a figure that is right for a Base automatic is not necessarily the one that applies to an LE Sedan built the same model year.

Known issues on the 1982 Corona. NHTSA lists no safety recalls for the 1982 Corona and no owner complaints filed against the year. Identify your car by trim and transmission before you start — Base automatic, Base standard, LE 4D Hatchback or LE 4D Sedan — and work to the figures Toyota published for the 1982 Corona rather than a neighboring year's.
