2025 Volkswagen ID.4 Service and Repair Manual

Most 2025 ID.4s leave the factory with the 82 kWh battery and the uprated rear motor introduced in the 2024 update, good for 282 hp, or 335 hp when a front motor adds all-wheel drive. Pro, Pro S and Pro S Plus make up the core range, while a small early run of 62 kWh cars was sold as Limited and S Limited with a 201 hp motor. With two battery sizes and several motor outputs in one year, the correct data matters. Known issues on the 2025 ID.4. One recall is on federal record for the 2025 ID.4: the high-voltage battery may overheat, a fire risk, and dealers update battery software and replace the battery where needed. NHTSA also lists 26 owner complaints, mainly under electrical system, back-over prevention and vehicle speed control.
