2025 Ford Expedition Service and Repair Manual

An all-new fifth-generation Expedition arrived for 2025, bringing a split tailgate, a reworked cabin and a trim structure of Active, Platinum, Tremor and King Ranch, with Active, Platinum and King Ranch also built as the extended-length Max. Every version uses the 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, rated 400 horsepower in standard tune and 440 horsepower in the high-output form fitted to Tremor and optional on Platinum. Carryover data from the old generation will not fit this redesign, so this factory service and repair manual provides new procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics.

Known issues on the 2025 Expedition. Five recalls are on federal record. They include: a misaligned engine cup plug on the 3.5L EcoBoost can cause a rapid oil leak; the passenger air bag may deploy with excessive force; brake booster control module faults can cause a loss of power brake assist; a follow-up brake booster campaign addresses the same loss of power assist. The fifth concerns a trailer brake module that can lose communication while towing. NHTSA also lists 34 owner complaints, filed under areas such as forward collision avoidance, electrical system and steering.
