2025 Ford Escape Service and Repair Manual

Four powertrains remain on the 2025 Escape, and the trim list mirrors them: Active, ST-Line, ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite and Platinum, plus hybrid versions of the ST-Line family and Platinum and a separate Plug-In Hybrid. The 1.5L turbocharged inline-three, 2.0L turbocharged four, 2.5L full hybrid and 2.5L plug-in hybrid each need their own service data. Known issues on the 2025 Escape. Ten recalls are on federal record. They include: a badly made passenger instrument panel cover can stop the air bag deploying as intended; the instrument panel cluster may not illuminate at startup or while driving; the rearview camera can show an inverted image in reverse; the engine block heater on 1.5L and 2.0L engines can overheat. The other six concern oil-leaking cylinder head ball plugs, the electric brake booster control unit, loose liftgate hinge covers, rear seat belt retractors, a high-voltage battery cell defect and the EGR valve. NHTSA also lists four owner complaints, filed under areas such as electrical system and forward collision avoidance. Many of these fall under engine, brake and high-voltage systems, where this manual's procedures and torque specifications apply.
