Known issues on the 2023 Sprinter 1500. The federal record holds six recalls for the 2023 Sprinter 1500. On certain vans, 1,232 in total, rear spring U-bolts with faulty heat treatment could let the axle shift. Certain others had a main wiring harness able to rub on the drive shaft and short, risking fire and loss of drive power, steering assist and brake control, and 33 certain vans could have a loose front left strut bolt that affected steering.
