Known issues on the 2023 XT5. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the certification label on the driver's side B-pillar, which may print illegible tire size information and lead to the wrong tires being installed. The second and third both trace to the half-shaft-to-transmission connection: an improperly connected right-front half-shaft assembly, and separately a transmission built with an incorrect sun gear, can each let a half-shaft disengage, causing a loss of drive power or a vehicle rollaway even when the vehicle is in park. The fourth covers the instrument panel failing to illuminate a reminder when hazard lights, high beams, or turn signals are left on, so a driver may not notice they're still activated. Owners have filed 15 complaints for the year.
