Known issues on the 2021 EcoSport. Three recalls are on federal record. The first concerns the oil pump drive belt or tensioner, which may fail and cause a loss of oil pressure and an engine stall. The second covers front axle half shafts that may disconnect from the transmission, causing a loss of drive power or a rollaway. The third is a rearview camera software error that can leave the display blank. Owners have logged 257 complaints with NHTSA, clustering on engine and engine cooling, the engine itself and the power train. The manual's engine, lubrication, driveline and electrical procedures, wiring diagrams and diagnostics cover those systems.
