2019 Kia Niro Service and Repair Manual
The 2019 Niro covered here came in two forms — a full hybrid and a plug-in hybrid — both built around the same 1.6-liter four. They share a displacement, but not their service data: battery and charging hardware differ between the two, and so do the figures a technician has to work to. This factory service and repair manual is keyed to your exact year, engine and trim, so the value you set a clearance or a torque to is the one Kia published for the Niro in your driveway, not one borrowed from the other powertrain or from a neighboring model year.

Known issues on the 2019 Niro. One recall stands on federal record for this model year, and it reaches both the Niro and the Niro Plug-in Hybrid. It concerns the automatic transmission's internal clutch actuator: fluid may leak into the printed circuit board inside the hydraulic clutch actuator. The consequence Kia filed is blunt — a fire increases the risk of injury. Owners have filed 77 complaints against the 2019 Niro, and Kia has issued 56 technical service bulletins.
Whether you are chasing a transmission fault, servicing the hybrid drive or working through a scheduled maintenance interval, it puts Kia's own procedure and the correct figure in front of you for your exact 2019 Niro.
