Known issues on the 2019 Silverado 2500 HD. Seven recalls are on the record for 2019. Four of them concern roof-rail air bag inflators: an end cap that can detach, or a sidewall that can rupture, letting compressed gas escape and propel the cap or inflator fragments into the cabin. Two cover an engine block heater cord and terminals that can short circuit and start a fire. The last describes a rear fuel tank that can collapse and starve the front tank, stalling the engine.
