Known issues on the 2019 A5 Sportback. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers a rear axle alignment that may not have been checked after an earlier lock-nut repair, and uneven or premature tire wear from the misalignment raises the risk of a crash. The second covers that same trailing-arm lock nut on the rear axle, which can break from stress corrosion and misalign the axle, leading to a loss of control. The third covers the seat heater cable feeding the Passenger Occupant Detection System, where a contact fault can cause the system to wrongly disable the passenger air bag.
