2018 Cadillac CT6 Service and Repair Manual
Built around the 2018 Cadillac CT6 exactly as Cadillac released it, this factory service and repair manual is tied to the specific year, engine and trim in front of you — the 2.0L turbocharged four (VIN X, LTG), the 3.6L V6 (VIN S, LGX), the turbocharged 3.0L V6 (VIN 6, LGW) or the plug-in hybrid version of the LTG four — so every clearance, torque figure and tightening sequence it prints is the one issued for this car rather than a value carried across from an adjacent model year.

Known issues on the 2018 CT6. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, and both concern securing a child seat. The first covers the rear seat belts: certain second-row or third-row rear seat belt retractor assemblies may not automatically lock when the seat belt is fully pulled out of the retractor, possibly preventing a child seat from being properly secured, and if the child seat is not properly secured in the event of a crash it can increase the risk of injury — a non-compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208, Occupant Crash Protection. The second covers the mid and rear seat assembly: the inboard child seat anchorage bars may have had excess structural adhesive applied during assembly, which can interfere with the installation of a child seat, and if the child seat cannot be attached correctly to the anchorage bar there is an increased risk of injury — a non-compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 225, Child Restraint Anchorage Systems. Owners have filed 12 complaints for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind both of those systems are the ones you work from here.
From a rear belt retractor check or a child restraint anchorage inspection to scheduled service on the LGX, LGW or the hybrid LTG driveline, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the right specification for this particular 2018 CT6.
