The first covers the front passenger seat's Passenger Occupant Detection System: stress or wear on the body-sensing mat can cause the PODS control module to malfunction, meaning the front passenger air bag may not deploy properly in a crash. The second covers the tire information label, which lists an incorrect combined maximum weight, so an owner loading the vehicle to the printed figure risks overloading it and increasing the risk of a crash.
