Known issues on the 2017 RS7. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the passenger occupant detection system: stress or wear of the front passenger seat's body-sensing mat can cause the PODS control module to malfunction, so the front air bag may not deploy properly in a crash. The second covers the tire information label, which lists an incorrect combined maximum weight, so loading the vehicle to the printed figure risks overloading it and increasing crash risk. The third covers the turbocharger: a blocked oil supply strainer can starve the bearings of lubrication, letting the turbine wheel contact its housing or the shaft break, causing an engine stall. Remedy

Remedy

Consequence
Worn bearings can cause the turbine wheel to contact the turbocharger housing or cause the shaft to break, causing an engine stall and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
