Known issues on the 2017 GLS550. NHTSA records five recalls for the 2017 GLS550. Certain vehicles equipped with the Active Curve System could, when its reservoir ran low, foam the hydraulic oil and push it out through the cap vents, where an ignition source could set it alight; dealers top up the oil and fit a new cap. In certain vehicles the center console might pop open in a crash and release loose objects into the cabin. Certain others could report the driver-side rear door as locked while it remained unlocked.
