Known issues on the 2016 MKT. Recall activity on the 2016 MKT totals 3 campaigns. On certain vehicles, the B-pillar trim panels at the driver and front passenger doors could come loose while driving and fall into the road, and dealers are to repair the trim. Certain vehicles equipped with the turbocharged 3.5L engine had turbocharger oil feed tubes that may have been poorly brazed, so oil could seep onto engine parts and become a fire risk. Owners filed 9 complaints: structure 3, back over prevention 2, and the electrical system, engine and steering 1 apiece; 2 of them reported an injury.
