2016 Lincoln MKC Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2016 MKC. Engine concerns lead the 79 owner complaints on the 2016 MKC, with 41, ahead of the electrical system and power train at 11 each, engine and engine cooling at 7 and steering at 5. Seven complaints reported a fire, 1 a crash and 1 an injury. NHTSA lists 5 recalls. On certain 2016 MKC vehicles the battery monitor sensor could short, overheat and start an underhood fire, so owners were told to park outside until a fuse was added. Certain 2016 MKC vehicles with the 2.0L engine could also have a block heater that cracks, leaks coolant and shorts out once plugged in.
