Known issues on the 2015 e-Golf. The federal record lists 3 recalls for the 2015 e-Golf. On certain 2015 e-Golf cars from a set build window, overly sensitive high-voltage battery management diagnostics could misread an electrical surge and shut the drive motor down, and dealers updated the software. On certain others built during a short production window, a possibly faulty passenger occupant detection system could misjudge who sits in the front seat, so the air bag might deploy wrongly or fail to deploy. A third concerned certain cars altered during an internal evaluation period that might not meet regulatory requirements. Of 29 complaints, 20 name the electrical system.
