Known issues on the 2014 SLK55 AMG. Two recalls name this model year. The narrower one reached certain 2014 SLK55 AMG vehicles assembled between March 19 and May 5, 2014, where an error while building the air bag assembly could keep the front passenger air bag from deploying correctly in a crash; dealers installed a replacement. The other involved certain vehicles whose emergency call software could report a wrong date and time, and therefore a wrong location, to rescuers, corrected by a remote update.
