Known issues on the 2014 GL550. Ten complaints concern the 2014 GL550; steering, engine and suspension are each cited in two of them, and one complaint reported an injury. The year carries three recalls. A small campaign of 69 vehicles built between November 4 and November 15, 2013 found that the folding second-row seat base on certain vehicles might not drop far enough to reach the lower child seat anchors, a breach of the federal anchorage standard; seat pans were replaced where needed. Certain vehicles equipped with the Active Curve System could vent foaming oil from a low reservoir, creating a fire hazard. Procedures and diagrams for each are included.
