Known issues on the 2013 GL550. Among three recalls for the 2013 GL550, one applied to certain vehicles built from May 15 through October 4, 2012, whose second-row seat belt anchor bolts may have been left undertightened and could keep loosening, leaving a belted passenger poorly restrained. Another covered certain vehicles equipped with the Active Curve System: with the reservoir low, its oil could foam and escape through the cap vents, a fire risk near an ignition source. The third was an emergency call software fault on certain vehicles that could send a wrong location. Of six complaints, four cite the electrical system and one reported an injury; one steering complaint is logged against the 2013 X166-chassis models.
