Known issues on the 2014 Journey. The record shows seven recalls and 414 owner complaints. On certain 2014 Journey vehicles, a wiring short with cruise control engaged could keep the system from switching off, holding or raising speed; a software reflash was the fix. Certain vehicles equipped with particular Kidde fire extinguishers were covered because the extinguisher could clog or, on certain models, its nozzle could detach. On certain vehicles, a chafed air bag harness in the steering wheel could set off the driver's air bag unexpectedly. The electrical system leads complaints at 105 and the engine follows at 98; 28 complaints reported an injury and 26 a crash.
