Known issues on the 2014 Cruze. Eight recalls attach to this model year. On some cars the inner tie rod was left under-torqued and could pull free of the steering gear, taking steering with it. On others the roof-rail air bag inflator could split at its weld joint and send sharp fragments through the cabin instead of filling the bag. A third condition lets the transmission shift cable adjuster slip off the shift lever, so the indicated position no longer matches the gear the car is actually in. Complaints total 702, with the electrical system at 134, the engine at 102 and steering at 93.
