Known issues on the 2011 Eos. Two recalls touch certain 2011 Eos vehicles, and both involve the driver's airbag. Contamination can work into the clock spring, sever its ribbon cable and cut the airbag's power, so the bag stays silent in a crash; dealers fitted a protective cover or a new clock spring. Separately, certain 2011 Eos vehicles were recalled because the driver's inflator may generate too much pressure when it fires and come apart in fragments. Of the 18 owner complaints for this year, 10 fall under air bags; 2 complaints reported a crash and 1 reported an injury.
