Known issues on the 2011 Borrego. One recall is on federal record for this model year. Campaign 23V652000 is filed against the hydraulic service brakes, on the antilock brake and traction control side of the system, and the consequence on record is an engine compartment fire while parked or driving, which can increase the risk of injury. The Kia filing covers certain 2010-2019 Borrego vehicles, so the 2011 falls inside the affected range. Beyond that single campaign the federal file is quiet: owners have logged no complaints for this year, and no technical service bulletins have been issued.
Whether you are inspecting the antilock brake hardware flagged in that campaign or working through scheduled service on the 4.6L V8 or the 3.8L V6, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2011 Borrego.
