Five recalls are on federal record for this model year, and all five cover frontal air bag inflator modules: three passenger-side campaigns in which an inflator explosion or rupture can send metal fragments into the driver or other occupants, a fourth passenger-side campaign in which an incorrectly installed inflator may not properly deploy the passenger frontal air bag in a crash, and one driver-side campaign covering the inflator in a crash that necessitates deployment of the driver frontal air bag. Consequence
