Known issues on the 2008 S600. NHTSA filed a pair of recalls against the 2008 S-Class line. In one, certain vehicles had front signal acquisition and actuation module transistors that had been stored in overly humid conditions; that moisture, combined with heat during soldering, could damage them so they did not work properly, raising the risk of a crash, and dealers inspected and replaced the modules. In the other, certain vehicles received incorrect software coding at a workshop visit, which could keep the fuel pump from getting its shutoff signal after a crash.
