Because the 2008 Lexus GS 450h pairs a 3.5L V6 (2GR-FSE) with a hybrid drive system, the numbers that matter are the ones written for this exact year, engine and trim, and that is what this service and repair manual is matched to rather than a close-enough figure carried over from an adjacent model year.

Known issues on the 2008 GS 450h. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year, and both land on the same area of the car: the gasoline fuel system delivery hoses, lines, piping and fittings. In the first, which covers vehicles equipped with the 3.5L V6 2GR-FSE, a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. The second is again the fuel delivery hoses, lines, piping and fittings, where a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Owners have filed 22 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are on record for it. The diagnostic and repair procedures behind those systems are here.
Whether you are pressure-testing a fuel line, tracing a hybrid system fault or working through a scheduled service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2008 GS 450h.
