2008 Honda Fit Service and Repair Manual
This 2008 Honda Fit factory service and repair manual is built for the exact year, engine and trim combination on your registration, so the specifications and repair sequences inside are the ones Honda published for this car, not an approximation pulled from an adjacent model year.

Known issues on the 2008 Fit. Eight recalls are on federal record for this model year. A driveshaft protective coating defect can lead to a broken drive shaft and sudden loss of drive power, with the added risk of the car rolling away if the parking brake was not set. Three separate recalls cover the passenger frontal air bag inflator, which can rupture or explode and throw metal fragments into the cabin, risking serious injury or death; one of the three traces the failure to propellant degradation after long-term exposure to heat and humidity. The master power window switch was recalled twice, first in 2010 and again in 2013 after the initial remedy proved insufficient, for water intrusion that can overheat the switch and cause smoke, melting, or fire. A wiring harness installation error in the headlight combination switch can wear the low-beam circuit's electrical contacts and leave the low beams inoperative, cutting visibility for the driver and to other traffic. A separate frontal air bag recall found that a deploying front passenger air bag can increase injury risk to small or out-of-position occupants. Owners have filed 217 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged for this model year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you're tracing a power window fault, inspecting the driveshaft, or working through a routine service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2008 Fit.
