Known issues on the 2007 SLK350. One recall names the 2007 SLK350: on certain cars, the inflator in the driver's frontal air bag could burst during deployment and send metal fragments toward occupants, so dealers replace the air bag module. Separately, NHTSA filed a recall against the 2007 SLK-Class line, where certain vehicles in that line got incorrect calibration coding at a workshop and the fuel pump might not receive its crash shut-off signal. Air bags dominate the 11 owner complaints with 8, followed by the engine with 2. Air bag module replacement and restraint diagnostics are covered.
