Known issues on the 2007 R500. The 2007 R500 carries two recalls of its own. In both, the brake booster housing on certain vehicles could corrode once moisture built up inside, reducing brake performance or causing failure, and owners were instructed not to drive the vehicle until it was fixed. Separately, NHTSA filed two recalls against the 2007 R-Class line, including one for certain vehicles whose accelerator pedal may not have been fully secured to its studs, making the pedal position harder to hold steady.
