Three recalls are on federal record for this model year: an antilock and traction control system fault that can cause a loss of vehicle control and a crash without warning, a suspension condition that can cause a loss of effective lift and lowering of the vehicle, and a four-wheel-drive transfer case that can shift into neutral and let the vehicle roll away, risking a crash. Owners have logged 982 complaints and Jeep has issued 35 technical service bulletins for the year.
