Known issues on the 2006 Monterey. Three recalls are recorded. The power liftgate motor releases after the gate is raised, which means a strut that gives way lets the gate drop without warning onto whoever is behind the van. Third-row seats may not latch and can move if the vehicle is struck from behind. Replacement fuel filter quick connectors that never fully seat can come apart and release fuel.
