Known issues on the 2002 SC 430. One recall is on federal record for this model year, and it covers the passenger-side frontal air bag inflator module. It applies to cars whose driver or passenger frontal air bag inflators had already been replaced under an earlier recall using inflators of the same design; those inflators may explode, and an inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.
