2000 Isuzu Amigo Service and Repair Manual

Model year 2000 was the last for the Amigo name in the US; for 2001 the same truck became the Rodeo Sport. The 2000 Amigo S was sold as a two-door hardtop or soft-top convertible, powered by the 2.2L DOHC four-cylinder or the 3.2L DOHC V6. Known issues on the 2000 Amigo. Two recalls are on federal record: a safety improvement campaign replacing 2.2L four-cylinder timing belts that could break early and stall the engine (01I002000); and corrosion in salt-belt states at the forward mounting bracket for the rear suspension lower link, which can detach from the frame (12V306000). NHTSA also holds 10 owner complaints, most often citing engine and cooling, service brakes and brake hydraulics.
