1998 Isuzu Hombre Service and Repair Manual

Four-wheel drive finally reached the Hombre for 1998, using hardware shared with the S-10 4x4. A passenger airbag was added, and the 2.2L inline-four was rerated at 110 horsepower while the 4.3L V6 continued. Regular cab and Spacecab bodies were offered in S and XS trim. With a new drivetrain option and revised restraints, the 1998 truck differs in real ways from earlier Hombres. Known issues on the 1998 Hombre. One recall is on federal record. It covers an engine wiring-harness clip that can melt and drip onto the exhaust manifold.
