1996 Ford Grand Marquis Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1996 Ford Grand Marquis covers the four-door sedan in two trims, Base and Equipado, both powered by the 4.6L V8 (281 cu in) with single overhead cams, natural aspiration and gasoline fuel. Because the engine and body are shared, the procedures, specifications and torque values apply to both trims equally, and the wiring diagrams and diagnostics are drawn for the same sedan whichever trim badge it carries. The manual is therefore one reference serving two versions of the same car.

Known issues on the 1996 Grand Marquis. No recalls are on the federal record for the 1996 Grand Marquis, but NHTSA holds 11 owner complaints. Five of them concern the engine and engine cooling, three concern the air bags and two the fuel system, so the engine bay accounts for most of the reports. The manual's procedures, specifications and torque values for the 4.6L V8 and its cooling and fuel systems cover the first and last of those, and its wiring diagrams and diagnostics cover the air bag circuits.
