Known issues on the 1995 98. Lighting is the thread through the 1995 98's 2 recalls. On certain cars with Twilight Sentinel lights, numbering 1,997, damaged capacitors in the lighting control module could leak current, killing the headlamps and parking lamps or leaving them stuck on and flattening the battery; the module was replaced. Certain others had a headlamp switch spring that could fail so the lamps would not stay on, and suspect switches were swapped. NHTSA also lists 30 complaints, with engine and engine cooling at 6; 2 reported a crash, 1 a fire and 3 an injury. The manual provides lighting wiring diagrams, diagnostics and specifications.
