1995 Mercury Sable Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 Mercury Sable has three trims to keep straight — GS, LS and LTS — along with the four-door sedan and four-door wagon bodies and two naturally aspirated overhead-valve V6s, one of 3.0 liters and 182 cubic inches, the other of 3.8 liters and 232. Known issues on the 1995 Sable. Six recalls sit on the federal record. Two of them concern an engine cooling fan whose bearing can seize: the heat that follows melts the motor connector and can set the motor's internals alight under the hood. A missing or partly installed retainer clip lets the master cylinder push rod come off the brake pedal arm, which takes the brakes with it. A third action covers fan wiring that can smoke or flame outright. Complaints total 395, with 135 on engine and cooling, 85 on the power train and 31 on suspension.
