Known issues on the 1995 740i. Five recalls are on the federal record. A replacement steering center drag link can shear at the shaft and take away steering control without warning; grit trapped in the lower front spring mounts can pit the rubber until the bottom coil cracks and breaks, changing ride height and stability; and a casting flaw in the right rear lower suspension arm mounting eye can crack through while the car is driven.
