Known issues on the 1994 SL320. NHTSA filed one recall against the wider 1994 R129-chassis models. On certain vehicles in that group, a misaligned headlamp wiper arm could let its blade lodge in the groove under the lamp, and running the washers then kept the pump going until the reservoir was dry, when it could overheat and start a fire. Two owner complaints cite the electrical system for the 1994 SL320, one also naming the engine. Another 16 complaints were lodged against the 1994 SL-Class line, 14 of them electrical. Headlamp washer wiring diagrams, pump diagnostics and electrical specifications are covered in this manual.
