Known issues on the 1994 C220. The 1994 C220 has one recall on the federal record: on certain cars the cruise control linkage left the factory without enough lubrication, so it could bind and hold the throttle open after the driver lifted off the pedal. A replacement linkage was the fix. Owners filed 26 complaints, 18 on the electrical system and 8 on vehicle speed control; one reported a fire. Separately, 17 complaints were lodged against the 1994 C-Class line, again led by electrical faults.
